I am a computational social scientist with a background in psychotherapy and philosophy of science. I build computational systems for interpreting complex information and evaluating evidence, with applications in fields such as social science, law, and journalism.
My research focuses on methods such as text classification to help people navigate information overload and make informed judgments grounded in evidence.
I currently lead LLM systems and research infrastructure at CAPTA, building tools for social research in collaboration with social scientists.

What is AI slop?
Master’s dissertation (full paper). Research that investigates AI slop using thematic analysis, topic modelling and statistical linguistic features. Outlines the types, themes, metaphors, and qualities of slop. Also finds that slop news is less varied and more positive than human-written high-quality news. A version of it is published as a series of blog posts.

Modular fact-checking toolkit, in development, covering claim detection, claim selection, verified claim retrieval, evidence retrieval, verdict prediction, and justification production. Each stage keeps an inspectable record of its inputs and outputs.

Legal research workbench built on corpora I collect and curate from Brazilian courts and legislative sources. Supports complex legal questions through source-linked answers and inspectable evidence, alongside collaborative document editing and shared research projects.
